Customer Support Specialist (2 openings, resumes accepted through March 14, 2010)
This is a full-time, salaried position, with health benefits and vacation. The interview process will include a phone interview, 2 in-person interviews, an assignment to demonstrate your technical aptitude and ability to demonstrate and explain the system to a client over the phone.
Job Responsibilities
- Implement the online registration site for client events.
- Create custom invitations and mini-event websites, using MeetMax tools and other graphic software.
- Demonstrate detailed product knowledge when assisting clients both on the phone and via email
- Handle incoming calls and email support requests for your assigned clients
- Troubleshoot technical problems, solve problems, answer general support questions and satisfy client requests
- Offer best practice tips to clients in an effort to boost their meeting attendance and streamline event management
- Give personalized web-based training to clients; educate and explain features and functionality to customers via phone and email
- Gather client requirements for future releases of the product
- Continuously evaluate and improve product documentation
- Continuously evaluate internal support processes for ways to improve efficiency (such as customer self-help and support automation)
- Provide feedback to management on issues relating to the system (including ideas for new features, improvements, bugs, and fixes)
- Take on additional special projects as needed
Education
BA or related work experience required. All majors welcome (it is the skills and
qualities listed below that are most important)
Qualifications and Skills:
- Ability to develop professional relationships and provide client support via phone-based and e-mail-based communication in a professional, polite and articulate manner
- Experience and demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task in a deadline driven, high pressure environment
- Technical orientation and ability quickly learn new technology
- Experience in the hospitality or events/meeting planning industry a real plus
- High comfort level in using online software products
- Analytical (do you like puzzles? are you a problem-solver?)
- Must be articulate, organized, and detail-oriented
- Quick learner, with a positive attitude and ability to work well within a team
- Adept in Office Suite
- Experience with and basic knowledge of HTML
- Basic knowledge of database concepts
- Customer Service Experience (not necessary, but a plus)

Marketing Intern
This is a part-time, unpaid internship that can be done for college credit.
Job Responsibilities:
Produce marketing collateral both print and online
Research prospects
Contribute to monthly MeetMax newsletter
Assist in planning and running the annual MeetMax user group meeting
Qualifications:
College level coursework in Business Management, Marketing and/or English
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good research skills
Comfortable cold calling prospects
Proficiency with spreadsheets and database applications
Work Schedule:
10 hours per week
Technical Writing Intern
This is a part-time, unpaid internship that can be done for college credit. Please provide writing samples along with resume/cover letter.
Job Responsibilities:
Write and edit user guide and administrator guides for MeetMax.com
Participate in quality assurance and testing of new software releases
Qualifications:
College level coursework in Technical Writing, Professional Writing or English
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail
Work Schedule:
10 hours per week
